Hospitalists

Hospitalists are physicians who specialize in hospital inpatient care and are usually internists. Your primary care physician has made them available to you in the event you require hospitalization.

If your primary care physician utilizes hospitalist services and you need to be admitted to the hospital, you will be admitted by one of our hospitalist providers. They will manage and direct your care while you are a patient in the hospital. Our providers work closely as a team, so you may see more than one of them during your stay.

Our hospitalists will keep your primary care physician informed of your progress while you are in the hospital. They are available to answer any questions you or your family may have regarding your plan of care.

Emergency department

The emergency department is open 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. In addition to taking care of emergency patients, this department registers all after-hours admissions and patients who need outpatient testing. To make inquiries, please call (615) 768-2020.
