Smyrna, Tenn. (March 12, 2015) - TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center will host a free community health and wellness informational seminar to raise awareness about the importance of Healthy Sleep on Fri., Mar. 20, 2015, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m at the North Rutherford YMCA in the Activity Room.
Dr. Michael Yu, director of Sleep Medicine at TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, will lead discussion about various aspects of restful sleep and how sleep is important to your health. Tips for healthy sleep will also be provided.
About 70 million people in the U.S. suffer from a sleep problem according to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Lack of sleep impacts both adults and children and can lead to health problems, personal risk (for example: falling asleep while driving) and impact mood, focus or behavior.
This seminar is free but seating is limited and registration is required.
