About TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center
TriStar StoneCrest, TriStar Health’s newest hospital, opened in 2003 in northern Rutherford County. The facility is equipped with 101 beds and offers a full array of acute care services, including emergency care, general surgery, cardiology, obstetrics, intensive care, diagnostic services and cancer care.
Patient care and satisfaction is a primary focus, which is demonstrated by an accredited chest pain center, award winning cancer program, and HCAHPS patient satisfaction scores that consistently rank in the top third in the nation. The emergency department treated a record number of patients in 2009, yet continues to maintain an average wait time less than half the national average. More than 300 physicians are on staff, many with offices located a short walking distance from the facility. This year, TriStar StoneCrest was named one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals® by Thomson Reuters, a leading provider of information and solutions to improve the cost and quality of healthcare.

FREE Skin Cancer Screenings
In recognition of National Skin Cancer Awareness Month, William Yavelak, MD with TriStar Medical Group is offering free skin cancer screenings. The screening involves a visual examination of the skin to check moles and other spots for signs of cancer and to determine if further testing is necessary.
Screening appointments are available at TriStar Medical Group Blackman Family Physicians on Saturday, June 2 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
